Applying Alternate Picking to Memory
One of the hardest things about leaning a new style of picking is applying that new technique into your musical memory. Playing fast scales is all about memory. Once you train your hands to do what you want them do, it’s all about practice. The hardest thing however is to train your hands to do something new and exciting. Alternate picking is definitely one of those guitar picking techniques that takes some time to learn and even more time master. However, with the use of a metronome you can be on your way in no time. Keep trying until you get it.
