When my fiance and I decided to get married her father took me aside and asked if I had purchased any term life insurance. It is a good hting that I know he likes me, or I could easily have taken that the wrong way. I told him that  had an appointment with a life insurance guy in two weeks and that the policy would be in place before the wedding. I know that really put his mind at ease. He told me that he had gotten insurance for himself and his wife as soon as they got married and that he was glad that I would be insured too.
