I am a beaches fan, I have been in a lot of amazing beaches around the

when I think of vacations I think of Belize, I love it. 

Over the years I have been to at least 5 different weddings at the Edinburgh Hotel.  They just have the best set up for weddings of any hotel that I have seen.  I love the way that the entire place just seem magical.  No matter how many weddings I have been to there each one seems unique in itself.  That is saying a lot because some places just seem so boring and without character.  However, at the Edinburgh you will never say that it is boring.  In fact many people come there several times a year just because it’s so beautiful and relaxing. 

The ambience of this La Fortuna hotel is clearly enhanced by the verdant gardens and the thermal springs which, although a bit of a walk from the hotel, can be accessed with ease – especially if you take advantage of the shuttle bus that the Hotel Arenal Kioro lays on for their guests. It is certainly worth the effort of making the visit – the views are spectacular! The hotel itself is worth every one of its 5-star rating, especially if you take into account the food: absolutely delicious – a really memorable experience. We found the service provided by the Hotel Arenal Kioro was excellent and nothing was too much of a problem to the staff, no matter what we asked for.

I have been looking for hotels for a while now because we need to make our plans for vacation. I just want to know that where we are going to is going to be the best. So, I made sure to do enough research. I have found that the Arequipa Hotel is the best we can get by far in the area. There are so many lovely rooms, and things to do at this hotel that we could never get bored. I just want to have an amazing time, and not have to think about anything. I know we are going to love it there. 

A few weeks ago a bunch of my friends and I went on a skiing trip to Camden, Maine. We wanted to stay at the ski lodge, but unfortunately it was booked. So we looked for maine hotels in the area and found a really nice one called the Ledges By The Bay. We got three ocean view rooms that adjoined each other, which was really nice. We all had a great time skiing and appreciated the accommodations that we got. Everyone at the place we stayed was very nice and the view of the ocean was really breathtaking. They also were conveniently located to all the area activities including restaurants, shopping and entertainment. We would definitely stay there again!

When looking for transportation for a day trip for the elderly people in the home, my Aunt Lilly wanted a good price, but didn’t want to give up on comfort. She was responsible for getting her group of senior citizens to Buckingham Palace for a tour and back again by dinner time. It was a lot less stressful knowing that all of the people were together on one coach and they would be enjoying their ride, seeing the countryside and arriving safely to and from their destinations.

We decided to have our family reunion in Europe last year. Twenty-six relatives met in the United Kingdom to spend quality time together as well as see some beautiful and historic sights. So, Brighton and Hove’s all-out female  short list of Parliamentary nominees generates some boost to a potential future change of base in the gender equalizer in the political power arena .

Being quoted in The Argus , Fawcett Society chief executive Ceri Goddard said: “If all the candidates are women that is cause for celebration but also concern that it has taken until 2009, whereas all-male elections are still the norm.

“The voters if Brighton can be pleased that whom ever they elect they will be a step closer to closing the gender gap in parliament where currently less than 20% of our MP’s are women – less than Iraq, Afghanistan and Rwanda.”

‘Less than Iraq, Afghanistan and Rwanda……… ‘ - personally that particular assertion left me somewhat embarrassed about the state of our political domain and speculative as to the reasons for male domination above and beyond the old precedence that gentlemen should have it entirely their own way - and its a whole Pandoras box of debate that is better left for some other place.

But my role here today is as - as always - to fly the flag for Brighton and Hove and present how headfirst reckoning and politically sensible our  is, and having  a ratio of men to women in parliament  more symbolic of the population, is in my thought, a step in the right direction!

Ricardo and Anna grew up in Portugal. They have been living in the United States for 11 years. Anna misses her family and wants to move back to Portugal.
