One of the most sad things that ever happened to me was when I found out that a good friend of mine, was a thief who was adept at making friends with someone, and then making money off of them by stealing their identity! But I caught this scary and unfortunate incident just in time, before it destroyed my credit and reputation, by doing free online background checks on that person, as their behavior and things that they said, started to alert me to the fact that something was not quite right with them. I now know she was a skilled identity thief!
