A couple of nights ago my girlfriend surprised me when she drove home in a brand-new Honda Accord. My girlfriend only came to this country four years ago from Yugoslavia to attend the University of North Carolina. I didn’t even know she had enough credit to afford a used car let alone a brand-new one. When I asked her about it she said about a month before she had gotten her annual credit report and had obtained a secured visa. This led to her getting any small personal loan which boosted her credit score even more. She said before she knew it she was inundated with credit offers.
